Travel Industry Employee: To be an "Eligible Employee" a person must be:
Airline & affiliated staff of:
- Current and retired employees of passenger airlines.
- Cargo airline employees.
- Immediate family members (spouse, parents and parents in law, dependent children) of current / retired employees travelling with or without the staff member.
- Friends travelling with current / retired employees of passenger airlines and Cargo airline employees.
Airport & affiliated employers of:
- Air Traffic Controllers.
- Customs & immigrations.
- Ground maintenance.
- Airport Authorities, i.e. BAA.
- Airport handling.
- International Air Transport Association (IATA).
- Airfreight companies (IATA only).
- Immediate family members (spouse, parents and parents in law, dependent children) of current employees travelling with or without the staff member.
- Friends travelling with current / retired employees.
Permanent staff selling, marketing or promoting travel & affiliated employees of:
- Cruise line employees.
- Ferry company employees.
- Bonded multiples / independent travel agents (ABTA, ATOL, IATA, TTA, CAA, Global Travel).
- Unbonded travel agents.
- Retired employees of Thomas Cook.
- Bonded and unbonded tour operators.
- GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, Worldspan).
- Car hire companies.
- Tourist boards.
- Destination management & representation.
- Reservation companies.
- Tour operators (BITOA).
- Hotel companies.
- Foreign exchange (counter staff only).
- Immediate family members (spouse, parents and parents in law, dependent children) of current employees travelling with and or without the staff member.
Friends travelling with current / retired employees in the same stateroom. - Selected Travel Media Publication Employees.
Any person who satisfies any of the listed above shall be deemed an Eligible Employee provided that person can substantiate his or her employment by providing the acceptable forms of proof described in the identification section below.
Airline Personnel: Guests qualified under "Secondary Eligibility" may cruise at interline rates even if unaccompanied by the "Primary" eligible guest. All guests in the same stateroom as the "Secondary Eligible" guest can travel at the interline rate.
Guests qualified as "Secondary Eligibility" are as follows:
Spouse or Domestic Partner of currently employed Airline Employee
Parents of currently employed Airline Employee
Retired employee from a domestic or international commercial airline
(CRS) employees of Sabre, Worldspan, Galileo/Apollo, or Amadeus
Stateroom Eligibility: As long as one guest in the stateroom is described as "Secondary" eligible, the following would apply:
All other guests in the same stateroom would be eligible for the interline rate
Maximum of one (1) stateroom can be booked per sailing date
Ineligible Guests: The following guests are NOT qualified to have their own stateroom at interline rates:
Parents-In-Law
Independent children
Stateroom Eligibility: As long as one guest in the stateroom is described as "primary" eligible, the following would apply:
- All other guests in the same stateroom would be eligible for the interline rate.
- (One) additional stateroom may be booked with guests in that stateroom being eligible for the interline rate.
- A (second) additional stateroom may be booked with guests being eligible for the interline rate only if one of the two additional staterooms are occupied by dependent children of the primary guest.
- Maximum of three (3) staterooms can be booked per primary guest, per sailing date only as described above.
Identification: Active employees/an eligible guest as described above must provide proof of eligibility in the form of a photo of their current I.D. Badge or correspondence from a Human Resource Department from their respective travel industry employer. This is the only form of accepted identification needed for the Employee. Retired (or furloughed) employees as described above must provide proof of eligibility in the form of a photo of their retiree I.D. Badge or letter from former employer specifying their retirement status.
Spouses, Domestic Partners and Parents must provide proof of eligibility in the form of a photo of the Active Employee’s I.D. Badge on whom their eligibility is derived, and/or proof of eligibility for benefits from the employee’s Human Resource Department.
Failure to produce authentic identification may result in the cruise fare reverting to full retail tariff at time of check in or boarding may be denied.
