Fully aware of the concessionary travel benefits available to airline and other travel industry employees, we felt a professional travel organisation was required to service the needs of the travel trade, for their own use. Initially offering accommodation at specially discounted rates to staff making their own flight arrangements.
Touchdown Holidays combined operations with Travel Industry Services in July 2018 to form what is now the leading tour operator in this field. Accommodation was made available worldwide on all continents of the globe at special rates, with refunds being available should offloads occur whilst travelling on stand-by.
By 1991, a demand existed for discounted air seats on a confirmed basis to eliminate the risk element of travelling stand-by. Popularity grew and grew, and today, Touchdown | Travel Industry Services offers package holidays and flight only arrangements for travel on over 40 airlines, together with accommodation only arrangements for those using their own flights.
We also implemented our cancellation waiver policy which ensures that, for just £6pp, you receive a full refund should you have to cancel your travel arrangements prior to departure (conditions apply).
A host of other benefits are now offered to complement these services, including the best priced annual travel insurance scheme, discounted car rental, discounted airport parking rates and discounted airport lounge passes specifically for travel trade staff.
